MSW Program Course Override Request Form

IMPORTANT

• Course Schedule: Beginning with registration for spring 2027, all MSW courses (except Field) are restricted based on cohort. In the Schedule of Classes, please see Section Comments > Section information text on any course for more information.
• Non-MSW Grad Students: Please use our [Non-MSW Major] Course Override Request Form instead.
• Closed Course Overrides: Requests to register for closed classes for any reason will not be accommodated and will be automatically denied.
• Field Practicum Overrides: Field sections are assigned by the Office of Field Education, and you will be notified of the specific section in which to register. Please send all field registration questions to SWField@txstate.edu.
• Timeframe: Please allow 3-5 business days (Monday-Friday) to receive a response. Submitting multiple forms will not expedite your request.

Troubleshooting

If you experience problems with the registration system that are not due to error messages, please try these general troubleshooting tips before contacting us:

• Clear your browsing cache
• Try a different device (Laptop/Desktop preferred over Tablets/Smartphones)
• Try a different browser (such as Chrome or Firefox)
• Open a new "Incognito" browsing window
