Dr. Choi accumulated various practice experiences after my MSW degree, which includes program coordinator at the Group Cognitive Behavior Therapy (GCBT) for Latina immigrant mothers, clinical social work volunteer at public middle school, and clinical research coordinator at the Public Health department.

Dr. Choi’s research interests are twofold: 1) to examine the detrimental effects of racial microaggressions among racial minority individuals and coping mechanisms, and 2) to explore the challenges in terms of natural disaster preparedness among individuals with vulnerabilities such as mental/physical health challenges, language barrier, and lack of resources due to poverty.

During her downtime, Dr. Choi enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, and doing arts and craft with her young kids.
